What is the New Jersey Economic Policy Forum?
The New Jersey Economic Policy Forum is a partnership between Cushman and Wakefield, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Rutgers University and seven major statewide trade associations to assist New Jersey government in assessing challenges, identifying opportunities and fashioning viable solutions that will result in policies and outcomes beneficial to the state’s companies and residents.
The State Chamber, Cushman and Wakefield and our partner trade associations created the Forum in 2007 to bring together key stakeholders to discuss economic challenges and opportunities facing New Jersey. A key component of the Forum is a twice-yearly C-Suite survey of top-level New Jersey executives, which asks them a variety of questions associated with the state’s economy and business climate.
The results are released annually at our December forum, which in the past has included speeches from Governor Corzine, other top-level government officials, and consisted of two panel discussions featuring top-level executives who took the survey and our association partner leaders. The survey, which is administered by the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University, asks executives about the state's economy and business climate.
The associations involved in the Forum include the NJ Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the Health Care Institute of NJ, Financial Executives International, the NJ Technology Council, BIO-NJ, the NJ Society of Certified Public Accountants and the NJ Business and Industry Association.
