New Jersey Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tom Bracken appeared on New Jersey 101.5 June 20 to talk about the state Legislature’s proposal to expand New Jersey’s Paid Family Leave, a measure that would double the amount of time workers can take off and increase the pay that workers get when on leave.
“It puts a huge burden on the business community and is there really an underlying need? You don’t hear a lot of people marching up and down State Street for this,” Bracken said.
“This is state needs to grow to gain revenue and solve our fiscal problems,” Bracken added. “You can’t continue to do this stuff and also foster growth. You can’t have it both ways.”
