2026 NJCC Summit Keynote Speaker John Kirby

The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce today announced that Scott Kirby, Chief Executive Officer of United Airlines, will participate in a featured fireside chat on Tuesday, March 31, during the upcoming ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo at Harrah’s Atlantic City.

Kirby will sit down for a one-on-one interview with Tom Bergeron, Founder & Editor of BINJE, to discuss the state of the economy, the outlook for the aviation industry, and United Airlines’ long-term commitment to New Jersey. The conversation will highlight United’s investments in the Garden State, job creation efforts, and the company’s role in supporting New Jersey’s business community.

Kirby brings more than three decades of leadership experience in the airline industry. He has served as CEO of United Airlines since 2020, following four years as president, where he oversaw operations, marketing, sales, alliances, network planning, and revenue management. Under his leadership, United advanced a cultural transformation and strategic growth plan. Kirby also serves as Chairman of the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board and is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Board of Governors. Prior to joining United, he held senior leadership roles at American Airlines and US Airways.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Scott Kirby to the ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo,” said Tom Bracken, President & CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. “United Airlines is a major economic driver in our state, and Scott’s leadership has helped position the company for long-term growth while strengthening its commitment to New Jersey. His perspective on the economy, aviation, and workforce development will add tremendous value for our attendees as we focus on keeping New Jersey competitive.”

United Airlines is a major economic engine for New Jersey, anchored by its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport—one of the airline’s most important global gateways. As the largest carrier at Newark Liberty International Airport, United connects New Jersey to more than 160 destinations around the world while serving as one of the state’s top ten employers, with more than 14,000 New Jersey‑based employees and growing. Beyond job creation, United drives more than $16 billion in annual economic impact, underscoring its long‑standing commitment to supporting the region’s growth, competitiveness, and global reach.

The Chamber also previously announced that John A. Gallucci Jr., President & CEO of JAG Physical Therapy, will be speaking on March 31, adding another prominent business leader to the Summit’s growing roster of speakers.

The two-day ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo on March 31 & April 1 is expected to draw more than 900 business leaders from across the state and will feature keynote addresses, timely panel discussions on New Jersey’s economic competitiveness, an all-day business expo, and extensive networking opportunities. More than 100 exhibitors will showcase products and services from across the Garden State, alongside 50 speakers and 15 sessions focused on the state economy.

Two major networking receptions are scheduled, including an evening cocktail reception on March 31 and a morning breakfast reception on April 1. The second day of the Summit will focus on critical issues and economic growth opportunities – and how they will be addressed by the Sherrill administration and state legislative leaders.

Panel discussions will explore energy affordability, reliability, and sustainability; the future of higher education in New Jersey; pressing healthcare challenges; the state’s innovation economy; positioning New Jersey for economic development; and assessing overall competitiveness. Attendees will include executives from large and small businesses, state and local government officials, and representatives from labor, academia, nonprofits, trade associations, and the media.
