Amirah Hussain, the N.J. Chamber’s director of government relations, is well respected in the State House for her knowledge on health care, taxation, economic development and education. As such, she is working on some of the state’s biggest issues on behalf of the N.J. Chamber and its member companies.

Amirah is also helping to spearhead the New Jersey Chamber’s Young Professionals Network.

“This group will provide young professionals with their own community,” Amirah said. “We will get together, learn from each other and discover opportunities for career growth.”

Before joining the N.J. Chamber team, Amirah was deputy chief of staff for Assemblyman Herb Conaway, where she focused on policy research and overseeing daily office operations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Rutgers University.

Chris Lowicki is operations coordinator at the N.J. Chamber of Commerce. He has distinguished himself with his effective and professional work on events and initiatives at the Chamber, serving as a contact for registrants, sponsors and board members.

Chris is helping to spearhead the New Jersey Chamber’s Young Professionals Network.

“The Young Professionals Network will offer networking, support and opportunities to hear from experienced and accomplished individuals,” Chris said. “It will not only encourage young professionals to climb the career ladder, it will arm them with the tools needed to do so.”

Chris, who lives in Bordentown, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he studied public relations.

“Our Young Professionals Network provides members with the opportunity to meet like-minded people who can help each other.”

Briety Spillane is team lead, continuous improvement at the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. Her fingerprints are on a lot of what we do at the New Jersey Chamber since her work involves event management, relationship building, proofreading and brainstorming.

Briety has been enthusiastic about reviving the N.J. Chamber’s Young Professionals Network because she sees the group as a stable of talented young people on the verge of big things.

“Our Young Professionals Network provides members with the opportunity to meet like-minded people who can help each other as they advance in their careers,” Briety said. “It doesn’t hurt that the events are also a place to have fun and relax.”

A native and current resident of Burlington Township, Briety lives with her husband and three children.
